Uber Pulls Back on Remote Work, Orders Staff in 3 Days a Week, Report Says

Uber Technologies (UBER) is reportedly requiring its staff to start working from the office three days a week, including some employees previously allowed to work remotely.

According to CNBC, which cited a memo from CEO D🅷ara Khosrowshahi to employees, staffers from June onwardꦰs need to come in three days—from Tuesday through Thursday. That compares with the current requirement of two days, according to the report, with Tuesday and Thursdays as “anchor days” since 2022. 

Khosrowshahi said employees need to push themselves so the company “can move faster and take smarter risks,” the report said, citing the memo. Uber didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

Uber joins a growing list of large U.S. companies retreating from remote work.
