The United Auto Workers called on 6,800 members to walk out of Stellantis' (STLA) Sterling Heights Assembly Plant on Monday as the union's strike against the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Big Three automakers extends into its sixth week.

The Sterling Heights plant, which produces the Ram 1500, is one of the company's most significant vehicle assembly plants, hitting what the union called "Stellantis’ largest plant and biggest moneymaker."

The move is a part of the union's “澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:new phase" of its strike, in which the union is prepared to launch unannounced walkouts at any time during the week. The UAW's first surprise walkout was on Oct. 11 with 8,700 members striking at thꦫe Ford (F) Kentuck🌱y Truck Plant, the auto maker's largest plant.

The Stellantis plant walkout comes after UAW President Shawn Fain reported that the union made "澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:serious movement" with General Motors (GM) and Stel🐬lantis, but warned of more strikes if further progress wasn't made.

Fain had also noted that Stellantis was "deficient" in meeting the union's cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) demands. In comparison, Ford agreed to restore COLA to 2009 levels, while GM was "approaching restoration."
