Reddit, which is getting set for an initial public offering (IPO), on Tuesday reported that a division of Nokia Corp. (NOK) told the social media company that 🐓it may have violated some of its patents.

Reddit wrote in a 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Securities and ꦆExchange Commission (SEC) filing that it received a letter from Nokia Technologies on Monday saying that the Finland-based firm “believed that Reddit infringes certain of their patents.” Reddit added that it planned to evaluate the claims.

The news came as an update to the risk factors that were part of its IPO filing last month.

This latest potential hiccup in Reddit’s plans to go public came just days after the company announced that it received a letter from the 澳洲幸运5开奖号码历史查询:Federal Trade Commission (FTC) saying that its staff ꦐwas “conducting a non-public inquiry focused on our sale, licensing, or sharing of user-generated content with third parties to train AI models.”

Reddit said it wasn’t surprised by the probe, given the novel nature of AI technologies and commercial arrangements, but denied being involved in any “unfair or deceptive trade practice.”

However, Reddit warned that such inquiries “can be lengthy and unpredictable,” and could adversely affect its business. Still, the company noted that it planned to commence the proposed stock sale “as soon as practicable.”
